Health Care Providers (HCP)
There are some people that, depending on their job, may require additional certification called HEALTH CARE PROVIDER, or HCP.
This includes: Physicians, Nurses, Paramedics, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Respiratory Therapists.
This does not include: Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Life Guards.
If you fall under one of these categories you will have the option of obtaining the additional certification for an additional $10. This extra fee is in addition to the course fee listed on the website and on the registration form. The listed course times remain the same.
HCP certification can only be added to the following three courses:
- Emergency First Aid with CPR (click here to register)
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (click here to register)
- CPR Level C (click here to register)
Notes:
- This must be done in conjunction with the regular course, you can not come back later and do the HCP section alone.
- It is ultimately up to you to determine if you need this additional certification, so check with your school/employer prior to coming to the course.
- Anyone can take this even if they do not fall under any of the categories listed above although there really is no need to do so.
