The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board oversees workplace safety education and training across Ontario, including First Aid programs. It also provides disability benefits, monitors healthcare quality, and supports safe and timely return to work for employees.
All employers governed by the Occupational Health and Safety Act must comply with Regulation 1101 under the Workplace Safety & Insurance Act.
Emergency First Aid & CPR: Required for workplaces with 1–5 employees. At least one certified employee must be on duty and easily accessible at all times.
Standard First Aid & CPR: Required for workplaces with more than 5 employees. At least one certified employee must always be available. For larger workplaces with multiple areas or floors, additional trained staff are required to ensure full coverage.

If you do not participate 100%, you cannot successfully complete the course and receive certification. However, you are still welcome to attend and observe.

If you are feeling unwell or suspect that you may be ill, you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled course. This allows us to reschedule your session appropriately and ensure the health and safety of all participants. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in administrative or rebooking fees.
